NavyMother.com - my son, Christopher, is a PROUD member of the United States Navy. He has been enlisted since June 14, 2004 and I've learned many new aspects of being a Navy Mother, so I thought I'd create a place where other mothers could visit and see what to expect as they support their own sons and daughters as they proudly serve our country. Christopher will be serving on a submarine, so this information will be geared more toward those experiences. [BRAVO-ZULU, Mother. Your son will be among the elite soon. They will test his mettle and then he will be one of us!!! COB (LINKS)]

Ship's Cook Third Class Doris Miller, USN - known as "Dorie" to shipmates and friends, he was born in Waco, Texas on 12 October 1919, to Henrietta and Conery Miller. Although not a bubblehead, Cuba Gooding played Doris in Pearl Harbor and if you saw the film you'll relate to this.
Up Periscope - Dave Sisson's naval tour of duty.
Bringing Back Fading Memories - the term DBF is short for "Diesel Boats Forever". Diesel-electric submarines were much more than a weapon of war. They meant a way of life and a positive mindset that lends itself to the phrase "Once a submariner, always a submariner." That holds true for all those who "rode the boats" - nuclear or otherwise. A DBFer will always be a DBFer - it's never completely forgotten. There's not all that many of us smoke boat riders left now... Many of my submarine acquaintances on the Internet have truly outstanding websites dedicated to the purpose of historical submarine data, and I provide links to them. My site is about submarine people - some of us who regularly put our lives on the line on a daily basis in defense and protection of freedom. Civilian

Dr. Robert Ballard - is one of the best known underwater scientists in the United States today. He is famous for his exploration of the wreck of the cruise ship, RMS Titanic. Dr. Ballard doesn't belong here. He is a civilian but I'd vote in favor of his "Honorary Bubblehead" certificate.
