1943 - PCU COD (SS-224) launched at Electric Boat Company, Groton, CT.
1981 - PCU HOUSTON (SSN-713) launched at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Newport News, VA.
1989 - first submerged test launch of the eight-warhead Trident II missile was made aboard USS TENNESSEE (SSBN-734) off Cape Canaveral, Florida.
1994 - Ex-GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER (SSBN-656) disposition complete by Nuclear Powered Ship and Submarine Recycling Program (NPSSRP) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA.
